Day 1

MONDAY, JULY 14
WELCOME TO ZANZIBAR 

  • Arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). 

  • Gather luggage, meet up with group, and private driver that will take you to your beachfront accommodations. 

  • Get settled in your room, take in all the peaceful views, and explore the property with welcome drinks.   

  • Get to know everyone as we share a traditional Tanzanian meal

Day 2

TUESDAY, JULY 15
EXPLORE STONE TOWN

  • Sleep in and enjoy a slow morning. After lunch, Take a visit to a spice farm village. This  gives you an insight into local life and the opportunity to try some Swahili dishes, taste the fruits in season and try some spiced tea. 

  • Walk through the spice farm with your guide. Touch, smell and taste different spices and tropical fruits. Try to guess which is which, from the crushed leaves, the fruit, shoots and vines, and creepers crawling up the trees.

  • Learn about their properties, their origins and their use as medicines and in food and drink.

  • Next, Follow the trail of the sultans, slaves and explorers in the winding streets of Stone Town. Our guide will tell you about the events that shaped Zanzibar, leading you through the buildings where it all happened

  • Explore and shop the markets until we meet for dinner in drinks on the pier.

Day 3

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16
IMMERSE IN CULTURE

  • After breakfast, head out to Nungwi Village for a guided tour. Learn about their ways of life and culture. 

  • Spend time with the children and donate to their school, if you wish to help.

  • Next, take a dip at the turtle sanctuary. Learn about their habitat and how to protect their environment.  

  • The rest of the day is yours to try some beach activities and wander the city streets to find the most authentic treats.

Day 4

THURSDAY, JULY 17
ONE WITH NATURE

  • Safari Day is optional and a long day (4 am - 6 pm). We understand everyone may not want this experience on their vacation. If you decide to stay, you may spend the day as you like or we will have other optional tours available.  

  • Join a small group in the early morning for your flight to Mikumi, where you enjoy two game drives around the park.

  • Animals you may see on your safari include giraffes, elephants, zebras, hippos, lions and more.

  • Learn about local conservation efforts and the ecosystem

  • Break for a lunch in the bush between game drives

  • Round-trip flights and all land transfers are included

  • A small group means more attention from your guide

Day 5

FRIDAY, JULY 18
ISLAND HOPPIN'

  • Take a private boat to sunbath, swim and have lunch on the "Vanishing Island" as it disappears during the high tide.

  • You'll have plenty of time to swim, snorkel, and dine on seafood and other options. 

  • ​Next visit Prison island to watch the 100+ year-old giant tortoises shuffle through the trees.

Day 6

SATURDAY, JULY 19
FREE DAY 

  • Enjoy the day as you wish.

  • Plan your spa services or one of our optional half-day tours.

  • Meet up for an offshore dining and photoshoot experience.

Getting to Zanzibar

 Fly into and depart from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ)

Travel Dates: 7 Days/6 Nights

Arrive: July 14, 2025, by 12:00 pm local time

 Depart: July 20, 2025, after 3:00 pm local time

  • Recommended Vaccinations for Tanzania Travel. These are optional & NOT required.

    • Hepatitis A

    • Malaria (pill form)

    • Meningitis

    • Rabies*typically only recommended for very high risk travelers given that it is completely preventable if medical attention is received within 7 – 10 days of an animal bite.

    • Typhoid

    • Yellow Fever

  • Travelers may also be advised to ensure they have received the routine vaccinations listed below. Some adults may need to receive a booster for some of these diseases:

    • Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)

    • Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis)

Located on the beach in Stone Town, a neighborhood in Zanzibar Town. Many notable landmarks are within walking distance of the property, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Forodhani Gardens. Scuba diving, snorkeling, and sailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails nearby.
